new miXXXes!

I did most of these mixes a while back, and shelved them for the time being, as I have been quite busy as of late and dont have the time to do the artwork for a proper release... Nor do I have the time to write out the tracklistings for them- but if you drop me a note, I'd be more than happy to ID the songs for you. All of the mixes were done using 2 turntables, vinyl and/or Serato and sometimes a KAOSS pad or just the effects on the DJM-600.

This last mix was/is a birthday present for a girl named Kristin, who I think is pretty swell. If you like it, you can find a link to Volume One in one of my earliest posts.

And on a final note, I am playing music at MARTINI RED on Saturday. It's the Birthday Party/Photo Debut for the aforementioned Kristin... Tryptophan, Dead Rabbit, & Video Giant are playing as well. It should be debaucherous as always.

more than a minute...

Its been more than a minute since we posted anything here-- but if you're still checking in, we do have some shit worth mentioning...

HCR is playing in Washington and Philadelphia this weekend with our man Lovefingers.

Friday January 25th @ some RSVP Only Warehouse Party in D.C.

Saturday January 26th @ 'Bleached Black'
27 south 21st st.

Also, you should check out Stampede Radio every other Thursday from 12-2am on East Village Radio -- or if you'd prefer, you could check out their Archives.

As for me, I'll be hanging local and doing the Martini Red residency thing with The Ghost Armada, Den of Thieves and Virgo Loves Cancer (who got a nice little write-up yesterday in the Staten Island Advance's 'AWE' section)... It's a bunch of peoples birthday party, so its definitely gonna get nuts. If you're on the Rock, come on down....

Disco and more disco...

I'm not sure of the exact details, and not sure if I ever will be, but it would seem that we are playing records this Thursday @ 169 Bar on East Broadway in Chinatown. Other than Will Spekulator (EVR | Short Bus Radio) and us, I'm not sure who else is playing. Expect disco and more disco.

Though I am rather certain that no one will read this in time, and although he didn't even mention it himself, I thought that it was worth mentioning that Ron is playing records tonight and tomorrow night at Webster Hall with The Animal Collective.

The Falcon 138
